The first that needs to be control is the thought, feeling or negative emotion. Once you allow this occur, then the negative action may follow. Having a negative thought or emotion may not necessary lead to an action. Hence, this is the second step were self-control can be effective. Once, the negative action occurs, damage is done but the impact can be minimized by accepting the error and reversing the action. However, some actions can not be reverse such as murder. An irreversible action is definitely very serious. The impact of the action depends on how many people are affected and what type of individuals. For example, one action may affect multiple people and even generations which renders the action as extremely negative. Furthermore, negative actions towards children are significantly severe in their impact. Hence, they should be avoided at all cost.
